Readers: We have been trying to get police blotter information from Franklin Park Police for months.I am AccessMcCandless is dedicated to providing news and information to residents of McCandless, Franklin Park, Allison Park, Wexford, Bradford Woods and Marshall Township. We feel that residents have a right to this information. Forewarned is forearmed. Both McCandless Township and Northern Regional Police have been extremely positive and cooperative with our efforts. Both charge .25 per page for police blotter information. Franklin Park, however, in order to apparently thwart our efforts, charges $15 every time we request the information. We are run by volunteers. One of our writers has and will continue to foot the bill for our website. We do not accept paid advertising. We have spoken to the folks in Rep. Mike Turzais office as well. While there is nothing illegal about the amount of fees that Franklin Park Borough is charging, many have found it to be quite egregious. AccessMcCandless believes in transparency in Government. We hope that you do too. If you are from Franklin Park and you would like to see police blotter information from your area, please email Sgt.
