“Realistic Shadows 2” Mahmoud Darwish Museum opened on 28 August 2014, an art gallery entitled “Realistic Shadows 2”for the Palestinian artist, Areej Lawen from Nazareth. Dr.ziad Abu Amr, Deputy of the Prime Minister and the Palestinian Minister of Culture, opened the exhibition by a speech praised the professional graphics for the young Palestinian artist, Lawen where her paintings reflect our heritage and our adherence to our roots and emphasizes that we as Palestinian people, share a common destiny, whatever our circumstances or regions of our presence. On her side, Lawen expressed her delight to have her first exhibition in Mahmoud Darwish Museum in Ramallah, as well as she send her greetings to our people in the Gaza Strip, affirming the unity of the Palestinian people, which demonstrated by her arrival from Nazareth to Ramallah to open her first exhibition. She added that the paintings are considered to have an outlet for her, which they transformed her ideas and feelings towards her homeland Palestine and towards its steadfast people who are clinging to the decent life and freedom despite the sadness and pain. This exhibition includes 28 paintings, lasts for three days, which is the second exhibition for lawen but her first one in the West Bank
