Really need you all to sign the petition for Chris Cantrell, he is a fellow lupie, a lupus advocate and works for the LFA. Here is his story: My name is James C. Cantrell. I am addressing the medical necessity of the prosthetic device that I received on 6/13/2011 by Cornerstone Prosthetics. I was given a Talux foot which had the requirement of certain level of function. Upon my BKA, I was told I would be able to do whatever kind of physical activity I could do before my amputation. After being fit with my prosthesis, I have indeed been able to achieve these goals. I play golf on courses around Port Townsend, requiring me to traverse many different terrains during play. I occasionally go to the recreation center to shoot some hoops in a game of HORSE. I walk along the beach below our house daily as excerise. I am able to drive myself and also can carry groceries to and from our vehicle while walking up stairs. Having SLE along with my amputation brings along another set of problems but my Talux foot gives me the best chance of living my life at a level that the quality of my life is not sacrificed anymore than it already has been.
