Really sad to see the KOSIL court dead now. I passed by KOSIL one afternoon and cant help but regret the sad reality that there really are no basketball courts now but cars exclusively parked consuming half of the street. All the years of basketball competition tradition go to waste. Camaraderie and deep friendship were developed as years gone by in KOSIL amongst once strangers in different barangays back then namely the group of HOTSHOTS, SUNBAG, DIESEL, BADBOYS, Habayhabays, Bernardos, Serranos, Paragas brothers, the towering Kambal bros, Bong Magat, Sonny Castro, Oriondo brothers, Jamias clans, Choi Muñozco, Gilbert Chan, Henry and Che2 twin towers, the Dela Rosa brothers, the Validos, the Trasmonte brothers, the Balde clan, the Arca boys of Estrada, the cat quick Jimenez, Jon Advincula group, Mac2 Edralin group, and even Shawcao and many more. The place where we grew up playing is really gone for good. They say a Regional Trail Court order put the basketball courts down. Truthfully they just made the complaint for their own selfish and obvious reason of eventually having the place to be their own parking lot for their expensive vehicles. Justice sometimes really dont look at what can be beneficial for the many especially for the youth today. Worst is, no one is doing any move to atleast appeal and try to bring KOSIL courts back up again. Sports is essential to a childs development, take it away then u also took away his youth and his potential. I am pretty sure if concerned people with authority and jurisdiction of KOSIL will sit all together and talk about this issue may come up with solutions and conditions on how to bring the basketball courts back up again. I know, all RTC orders can be appealed and some even over-turned. Sadly, there seems to be none. A mare citizen like me can only rant on public and social media about this concern but this wont bring KOSIL back up. Maybe I just have to accept the fact that there is no more KOSIL and it will never ever stand up again.
