Really saddens me that there are sisters who want to wear the hijab or already wear the hijab and want to wear the jilbab but family restrict them for whatever reason. It is easier said than done to disobey your parents and obey Allah - much easier said than done, so im not going to advise that. What I will say is make lots and lots of duaa that Allah makes it possible and wAllahi when He Wills and grants you that blessing, the feeling will be SO sweet and youll value your attire much much more. Trust me :) Allah hears and responds to the sincere heart, so imagine that one which is begging to obey Him. For the sisters who are taking off their hijab/jilbab for whatever reason - I cant imagine with what hardship you have taken off something that has been a part of your identity, but know that the hijaab is a Blessing that has been bestowed upon us, and the very fact that Allah has allowed us to observe the hijaab is another Blessing in itself. The ability to cover ourselves and be known for who we really are and what we represent. This world is merely just a moment, and we all go through phases and there is always whispers from the shaytaan to drive us backwards, but so long as we keep in control we can hold on to that which Allah loves. Even if were not feeling up to scratch with our Imaan, even if were stationary, so long as we are not going backwards, we have control. If you feel youre losing control, then maintain your Salah. Even if you do not feel like praying, never miss your salah. Holding on to your Salah is the key to holding on to your faith. This wasnt meant to be a preachy status! If there are any sisters who are contemplating taking off the hijaab or even want to observe the hijaab and want someone to talk to - you can inbox me/msg/call me and ill try my best to help in some way :) May Allah make it easy for all the sisters. I know its a tough time with the Islamphobic climate we live in but our hijaab is our identity, our honour, our pride. Glad tidings to the strangers
