Really though, Im pretty ok with people, even friends, not liking the band. No hard feelings. I can tell when youre faking it, and I appreciate the want to spare my feelings, but its ok. You dont have to. Rob Kovacs is a pretty staunch supporter in this theory, I think, having been known to open a conversation with, You were flat at the end of the last song. Thanks for the honesty, Rob, and everyone. Im not afraid of your dislike or your criticism, as long as you refrain from being an outright jerk and avoid unnecessary rudeness. For the people who do like the band, thank you. I so greatly appreciate your support and as much as I try to move ahead without worrying about outside affirmation, it really helps. Seeing the friendly faces at the shows bopping along, whether its the first time youve seen us or the hundredth, it is never lost on us and it is never less important to us than any previous time youve spent your evening with us helping us live our dream. At this point in my life, and certainly for the remainder of my days, music is and will be the most important thing to me. To play it with my best friends around my best friends, to share it with the world, to be part of a community of people who continue to ignite this passion, and to have the opportunity to one day perhaps use this passion to help people is a privilege beyond measure.
