Both teams struggled at the plate accounting for just 13 hits between them. Jordan Castaldo did launch a solo hone run, his sevenrth, for the Baycats. He didn’t have any big innings against him but Barrie chipped away with five hits and three walks to score four runs, only two of which were earned. The Baycats will next set their sites on the Jack and Lynne Dominico Trophy for the league playoff championship and hope to end the Brantford Red Sox six-year title run. Barrie last won the championship in 2005 and has been the playoff runner-up in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
