Receive our heartfelt revolutionary greetings We have noted with great concern and disgusted by the recent campaigning strategies of novice structures that are just formed overnight and have no experience in student governance. Their inappropriate acts and evil doing has come to our attention and we are tempted to bring our students on par so that they are not misled by such a structure that is filled within its ranks by charlatans and non-progressive students. It is our responsibility as SASCO, a genuine student vanguard to protect the children of the working class who are exploited and also protect them from any lies that would seek to misinform and divide further our society of students at large. SASCO is truly devoted to the struggle of students, that is to say, free quality education, transformation within the institutions of higher learning and the expansion of universities and FETs so that more of our people coming from destitute backgrounds can access education. Students needs to be vigilant of structures who would kill to be at the helm of the SRC, clearly there must be ulterior motives that propel them and they are not made known to our students. They need to also further guard against those who spread lies in the pretext of socialism. True socialism will be attained once the students form a conglomeration. SASCO urges students as we approach this coming SRC elections that students must unite so we can finally realize the envisaged ideas of a gigantic movement of SASCO stature and calibre. These new structure have never been in governance before and as SASCO we fear for our students that once these structures ascend into SRC, our students will be compromised. They dont understand our struggle and plight. They do not know what is it that we need and what we dont. Because of the great works of this organization, they now want to hijack it from students. That will not happen for as long as we students are alive. We the students are able to liberate ourselves, our struggle cannot be isolated from that of a socialistic state. They are intertwined. Hence we also have a very pivotal role to play, and it starts within the confines of such institutions. Our plea to students is that they need to keep their eyes wide open and also their ears, they need not be gullible to any hogwash presented to them by those who do not have their interests at heart. They need to be meticulous and very critical in this time of SRC elections. Because of the genuine struggle that SASCO has waged, we strongly believe that SASCO should continue with it, they must continue liberate the children of the working class and ultimately we will realize the envisioned state that we have been longing for all along. #19 August 2014, Vote SASCO for SRC TUT elections.
