Received a pm this morning from a woman begging me to take her beloved 5 yr old border collie mix (whom shes had since he was 6 weeks old!) because she just BOUGHT (paid $350) her kids a new puppy for Christmas and the 5 yr old BC does not like it. She said she loves her dog but wants to do what is best for him and thinks it would be unfair to force him to live with a dog he dislikes. I offered this suggestion...Since you claim to love your dog so much, keep him and surrender the puppy. Its cruel to take this dog from the only home he has ever known just because you PURCHASED a new toy. Needless to say, she didnt reply and unfriended me.
