Recently comparing war stories with a brother brought this back to my memory. Years ago I went to chicago ridge mall on my motorcycle. I parked in an out of way place in their lot because 1) it was hot and kickstands dig into blacktop and can tip over 2) that type of parking is dangerous in that people cant see ur bike up in the space, zoom in, and clobber ur bike. A chgo. Ridge officer put a parking ticket on my bike. At that time the chgo. Ridge court was a few blocks north of jim&kathleen schultzs house, in the then school house. I went, hoping to present a valid reason for my actions. Because the judge offered everyone at the beginning to plead guilty, pay $50 and one year supervision, he was angry when I opted out and attempted to plead my case. He didnt even allow me to plead my case. I tried, he stopped me, said I was a liar and said $75 fine. I said I fear God too much to lie to you. $75 he retorted. sir, I dont have $75 I said. The prosecutor laughed out loud saying judge, hes got brand new shoes on that cost more than mine I replied they were a gift from my Lord Jesus Christ the judge saysquiet, were not gonna get into this, you have 30 days to pay it or youll be back here in front of me I said your honor, may I share the hope I have in Jesus Christ with you, that thru him you can have eternal life you could hear a pin drop. The prosecutor yellshe doesnt need Jesus I turned to him and said everyone needs Jesus, you, the judge, me, everyone.. the judge gets up off his chair and storms off the bench, thru the door behind him, into his chambers, whispering to the bailiff as he passed him. The bailiff saysthere will be a 15 minute recess and the clerk hands me the disposition giving me 30 days, or else. Leaving the court room, there was laughter and a few cops mocked me as I walked by them. I went to a park, sat a while, prayed, cried, and thanked God for the opportunity to share my hope in Christ. I purposely stayed outside and away from home most ot fhe day. Court call was 9a.m. that morning. At 8pm upon arriving at home, in the mailbox was an envelope that had stephen sage handwritten on it. Inside was exactly $75 in it and a note that said use this in any way you need it aint that something? Now, I was attending a prosperous church at the time and people often gave me gifts so this could have been something God put on a believer I knew, who had no knowledge of events happening that day, but I figure a believer in that courtroom, and probably an official or police officer who could look at the ticket or court call, got my address and dropped that envelope off at my house! GLORY TO GOD.Hes everywhere, and Hes got his people strategically placed. HES AWESOME
