Like it or not, its your choice. I cant believe all this fuss over a dog that is now living with a hopefully, caring family who is providing the love and care she deserves rather then having to live in a cage at a rescue center. Okay, let me see if Ive got this right. On your Facebook post on 22 November 2013, Gracie escapes from Vernon who was suppose to be training her. Then again, o/a 6 December 2013, Gracie is found and returned to Vernon to keep so he could continue the training program . On February 19, 2014, you posted the following on your facebook page: “I want the whole world to know that Vern Taylor, calling himself The Indiana Dog Whisperer took one of my rescues into his rehab center to train and GAVE HER AWAY. AND THIS WAS AFTER HE LET HER GET LOOSE AND IT TOOK A WEEK OR TWO TO FIND HER AGAIN!!!!!! This bastard cant even train his own damn dog and he takes THOUSANDS from people and has ZERO formal training in animal behavior and rehabbing!!!!!!! He has several legal cases pending against him which Im sure are open to the public. Now he can add ME to that list. THEFT in criminal court, financial fallout in civil court!!!!!!! SEE YOU SOON ASSHOLE!” Were talking about a two and half month span from the time you turned Gracie over to Vernon and when you decided to check on her. That leads me to believe that you really wasnt all that concerned over her well being. As for your accusations pertaining to his training abilities, there are post on his Facebook page that indicates otherwise. Also, the pending legal cases sounds like pure conjecture on your part unless you have proof otherwise. On February 26, 2014 you posted: Hiya, V! I know you look here daily. Just wanted to let you know that ACM has nothing to do with this page! Its right here in writing. Take a picture. If you rectify this situation with Gracie I will remove this page. What does rectify mean? It means you either give Gracie back to ACM or you have TBS formally adopt the dog. This means a home check and contract. You say that you hate drama and you want this to go away. Prove it. If the family and you truly want Gracie to remain where she is, your best option is to avoid court. There it is. Ive put the deal on the table. ACM is in agreement with this. The ball is in your court. Put your money where your mouth is. End this madness. You cant have it both ways, either ACM doesnt have anything to do with this vendetta OR, based on the fact that you are the Director of ACM, they do have something to do with it. Either way, you started a smear campaign that you should have handled in a manner that was appropriate to the situation. Why would you want to hurt someone who feels toward animals the same way you do? Why do you question his charging a fee for his services when you do the same thing? If you check his Facebook page you will find many happy customers who are not complaining about the fee he charges. Also, did you pay Vernon for housing, feeding and training Gracie? If not, why not? You say Vernon offered to pay for Gracies medical expenses and that is why you were paid $350.00? Doesnt that indicate Vernon cares for the dog and because he cares he gave her to a family that will probable provide the loving care she needs and deserves rather then being stuck in a cage at your rescue center? You say that this is not your site but you seem to have the most input. Why is that? You call Vernon a thief and a lier? You might want to reread your post before making those statements. There is a right way and wrong way to handle this problem without smearing a persons reputation. Using social media is not the right way. And now we have your latest post: “An inside source has informed us that the IDW has posted in a large group for Siberian Husky owners asking people to report this page AND to contact the media. Intriguing. Id love to announce that we are ahead of all that noise. We spent the morning emailing every media outlet in the state of Indiana we could find. We are very grateful for all of your letters of support! Keep doing what you do! Whatever it is, its working! We love you all!” Do you really think you are accomplishing anything by continuing this smear campaign based on “inside sources” and other misinformed hate mongers? And this post is way out of line: “...Just curious, why do you put up with his cheating on you??? Just wondering.....” Was he cheating with you or is this another input from “Outside Sources”? Cant you at least stick to the subject at hand and quit trash talking? Let it go, get on with your life, be happy for Gracie and concentrate on the animals that do have to live in your rescue center cages.
