Recreation Therapist: Details: Bacherlors degree in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation or equivalent. C.T.R.s.or A.T.R. certification. Previous excperience is required. Recreational therapist is knowledgeable of activity therapy for age group and diagnosis served. The therapist strives to make the patients hospitalization as therapeutic and enjoyable as possible, while creating an environment which encourages the patient to make decisions, learn new skills, assume responsibilities and develop to their minimum physical, social and emotional potential.
