Recreational Cottage Lots Available in Western Newfoundland Thirty-six Crown land recreational cottage lots in western Newfoundland located at Bonne Bay Big Pond and several sites accessed from Route 401, Howley Road, are being made available through an upcoming public draw. Ranging in price from $16,300 to $38,100, the lots will be sold as Crown grants (outright ownership) with the full price due upon signature of the title document. “Demand for recreational cottage lots is increasing and it is important we manage Crown land wisely and in a sustainable manner,” said the Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Environment and Conservation. “We will ensure that the people of our province have fair access to these recreational cottage lots through our public draw process.” Anyone interested in obtaining a lot must submit a Public Draw entry form to the Western Regional Lands Office in Corner Brook no later than 3:45 p.m., Friday, June 28. Entry forms received after that deadline will not be eligible. Entry forms can be printed from the website at env.gov.nl.ca/env or obtained from the Crown Lands office located at: Western Regional Lands Office Department of Environment and Conservation Sir Richard Squires Building P.O. Entrants may attend this meeting but attendance is not necessary. The randomly sorted list will be posted on line at env.gov.nl.ca/env and at the Crown Lands offices following the public draw. The list will not display any personal contact information. It is the responsibility of entrants to check for their ranking in the draw as they will not be notified directly. Lot selection will take place at a public meeting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at the Glynmill Inn, Corner Brook.
