I have shed the old shibboleths of organized religion and embraced the universe, the laws of physics, evolution and natural selection. I do believe we are all connected to everything and we have our brief moment in time. It took me a long time to get here and the process is not over, the journey continues and I am so grateful. Through my Facebook page I share my thoughts and I also, learn from each of you that are sharing my journey. I do realize I make some of you uncomfortable, maybe even angry when I post my thoughts, as I have lost friends, but I have also, gained friends and I am thankful for both. Do you want to believe in the Christian God, the Bible, a church, a written dogma, then that is your absolute right and whos to say youre right or wrong in that belief system. I choose to deny the Christian God and especially the Bible and organized religions with their churches, temples and mosques. I do not need a priest, a rabbi or a minister to intercede for me, if I did then maybe, just maybe I might have the wrong higher power. Here in my desert home our local cities keep the night time lights to a minimum so people can see the sky and the stars. I can sit on my patio and natures dazzles me with brilliant displays of light, some nights the moon is so bright there are shadows. I am in awe. I will continue to read, listen and look for more, but I will also, embrace the people life has surrounded me with to draw comfort and healing from that human essence. It has never been my intention to anger or belittle those of you who do believe in religion, but so much of religion relies on faith in a deity, I choose to place my faith in you, my companions, my humanity, my fellow man and woman.
