Reddit, help me make the Fallon dfloor a reality Inspired by this post, I have decided to actually make a website dedicated to the most theatrical dives of the year. By process of voting, we can award the best actor of the year the illustrious Fallon dFloor, the Academy Award of football. Voting will be more like the Puskas Award, where anyone will be able to vote on the site itself (fallondfloor). I can bang out this website pretty quickly. I need a few things from reddit: Help me determine the rules for eligibility. Im open to suggestions. So far, Im thinking: Important matches only. No friendlies. Either international or top/pro national matches (varies by nation). The player must not have been punished for the dive with a card. We must have a clear video of the incident, preferably in high-definition and slow-motion, and ideally with audio or commentary. Lastly, the dive should be considered more heavily as a winning contender should it help determine the outcome of the game in question. Lets finalize an award design. Ive enlisted the help of a designer to create a logo and mockup. So far, the idea suggested to me is a banana peel with a boot over it. Do we want to actually make a physical award? Wed need some kind of 3D model of said award and someone to print it. Or, is a sealed letter of recognition for the recipient enough? Lastly, but most importantly, we need our nominees. Help by posting the best dives which occurred between Dec 1, 2013 through Nov 30, 2014 (subject to approval based on the final rules of eligibility).
