Referendum Question Time – The Choice for Moray Businesses I am writing to invite you to an important event taking place later this month on a subject which has huge implications for your business and for your family. In less than a year, the people of Scotland will be asked a simple question: Should Scotland be an independent country? The coming Referendum is the most significant constitutional issue facing Scotland for more than 300 years. However, a Scottish Chambers of Commerce survey shows 58% of businesses need more concrete information from both sides of the campaign. Moray Chamber of Commerce is therefore hosting a business themed question time event which we hope will provide local businesses with the information they need to make an informed judgment on the day of the Referendum. Former Enterprise Minister Jim Mather and Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp, Managing Director of Business for Scotland, will represent the Yes campaign, while Moray Councillor Douglas Ross and leading businessman Mark Tennant will speak on behalf of Better Together. Delegates will be given the opportunity to quiz both campaign teams, either on the day or by submitting questions in advance. Further details will follow. ‘Referendum Question Time – The Choice for Moray Businesses’ is open to businesses across Moray and will take place on Friday 29 November in the Sherwood Suite at the Eight Acres Hotel in Elgin, from 9:30 am.
