Reflection for the Evening: We often fall into having the memory - TopicsExpress

Reflection for the Evening: We often fall into having the memory of an elephant when it comes to what people have done in the past. We say that it’s nice that they’re in the church, but we don’t want to go to that church because they go there. We’re happy they’re in the church, but how could they have done what they did? We never forget sometimes what people have done; but we forget that Jesus while on Earth showed that He didn’t and still doesn’t care what they have done. Jesus’ first concern is finding the lost sheep. When someone is found who was lost, God rejoices over having found them. He forgets about where they were at, what they had done, and rejoices that things are different. He doesn’t experience a little smile on His face but rejoices and happiness pours out. Their past deeds are forgotten as they are told to go and sin no more, their sins are forgiven. ----------- Is there someone who you’ve been rejecting from your life even though they have come back to God?
