Refresh, Restart, Renew, Recharge... As a family we have been making an effort to eat healthier by trying to eat clean. However, in the last few weeks we have been eating more processed foods. So in order to get us back on track I went back to how we first started this process...... I thought I would share for anyone who is looking to clean up their families eating habits. It is not as hard as you think;) Honest! Starting out Tips: :Clean out fridge, freezer and cabinets ( remove/limit processed foods) :create portion sized containers with washed fruit/ veggies :stock freezer with frozen fish, chicken and lean red meats. :make/buy easy go to sauces/marinades such as chimicurri, pesto, marinara and salsa (read labels to make sure they are clean) and this make life easy as they can be eaten on almost any meat or vegetable. :make double batches of heathy clean meals. Freeze away in meal sized containers (saves time) :eggs, sprouted bread and avocados are a great easy meal or snack any time of the day :almond butter and natural peanut butter with bananas, carrots,celery- super easy go-tos :have sprouted wraps and/or flatezzas by Angelic Bakehouse on hand with lettuce, veggies, meat and small amount of cheese wrap it or make a pizza- boom A little bit of planning makes it easy to cook quick, easy, clean and healthy meals during the week.
