This is incredibly sad ... I feel heartbroken for both parties here but cant help feel awful for another strike society puts up against the Pitties. It could have been a labrador retriever, or a Golden ... with the pittie on leash and the pug loose a few things may have happened that ended in the Pug being bitten. Dogs have many signals they give out before a strike and some dogs can be more protective and nervous while on leash when another dog approachs unleashed. Lets not lay blame here until the facts are known. Nor should you judge the breed itself ... judge the owner(s) !
