Regardless of which side youre on in the Gretsch/DW debate, this video sendup of the whole situation is HILARIOUS! I just about died laughing ... Whats YOUR opinion? Full disclosure: Ive been a DW endorser for 20 years, and I also have several vintage Gretsch kits that I love (we used one in Daniel Glass presents The Century Project). Ive worked closely with Don Lombardi for quite a few years (DrumChannel produced my two DVDs), and I believe that he and the rest of the folks at DW have great respect for the tradition of drum making in the US. It wouldnt make any sense for them to mess with the Gretsch sound or vibe, especially because theres already such a loyal fan base who would continue to buy Gretsch. Why sell one brand when you can sell two? But thats just my opinion, I guess well all find out.....
