Relaxed Home Schooling workshop in Michigan (western Detroit suburbs) Friday and Saturday, Oct 24 and 25. Friday night at 7 will discuss teens, high school, and college entrance. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 or 4 p.m., will discuss relaxed homeschooling in general; setting goals, reading and writing the natural way, taking the frustration out of math, and using relaxed unit studies in social studies and science. Mary Hood has Ph.D. in education, taught her own five children for 25 years, and is the author of such books as The Relaxed Home School and The Joyful Home Schooler. Registration at the door is $25 for Fri or Saturday, or $35 for both. With one paid registration, other members of the family are admitted free...dads, grandparents, or teens.
