Religion Most of the population follows Hinduism, which some amount of the population also following Islam and Christianity. In addition, a group of young men started to follow vadik dharma (arya smaj), which is seen as a very positive step. ↑Jump back a section Education The education level is average in Ghitorni, although the percentage of educated residents is increasing as the current generation is focusing on education. ↑Jump back a section Sources of Income The main source of income in this village is the rental income from residential and commercial properties. However, a handful of residents are also in government jobs. Some of the residents of Ghitorni are quite wealthy and are actively involved in politics also. However, there is no recognised politician as such from this village. ↑Jump back a section Notable Residents Ch Rajender Lohia (ChaCha Minti) is a great cricketer in this village famous for his sixes in every ground where he played. He also known by the name of Guruji. Ch Rajpal S/O Late Ch Sher Singh is one of the most respected person in the village. Phiray Singh is the first person to become gazzeted officer of central Secretariat services, Government of India (CSS). One young man of the village Vikas Gurjar S/O Sh Sant Raj became first direct gazetted officer by clearing UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Service) exam and was selected for the Indian Army, thus becoming the first man from the village to became an Army Officer.
