Religion may appear to be in the pursuit of Truth, but religion is nothing but anti-Truth. Religion is to attempt to dress up Truth in the dressing of rituals, rules and edicts. Yet when the dressing is removed, you find that Truth fled long ago and all along, they were worshipping a false idol. Thats too horrifying to think of, however, so most just continue pretending Truth is still there, in their churches and in their temples. Its a charade, but most suspect this on some level, even if they will never admit it. The honest seeker will throw religion away as soon as it is seen that Truth has no communion with religion. Truth only has communion with itself. Truth is in the company of one, always. Truth has no room for those who dont really want to destroy their entire worldview. So it will wait until you are ready, and then will enter in when least expected, when your guard is down. And out of the ashes of its destruction will arise pure and total freedom.
