Remember when Vlasis Park had the big huge long metal swingset and the big dangerous but fun metal merry-go-round on the playground? Last time I was back in town visiting we drove by there and the swingset and other old equipment was gone. The only thing left I recalled was the old style fire engine. I also remember way back when over by the pond there was a big old oak or elm tree in which they carved out a bench. They later cut down the tree and put in a gazebo.
