Remember your anger. Remember your fear. Remember how violated you - TopicsExpress

Remember your anger. Remember your fear. Remember how violated you felt. Remember your sorrow for all those that perished on this terrible day, thirteen years ago. And remember how many names have been dropped from rolls since as a result of today, thirteen years ago. Some of those people you knew. Some of those people you love. They were people just like us. They had dreams and aspirations, families and loved ones. Their lives were snuffed out because of a twisted ideology, jealous and hateful, and unwilling to adapt to modern progressive society. It is true that in the past we have made mistakes, played games that we shouldnt have played, and meddled in affairs we shouldnt have. But we have attempted to and still attempt to rectify those mistakes. And though it is true that in our system there is corruption and malfeasance, as a whole our interests are to bring freedom, justice, and progress to the rest of the world. Despite our geopolitical shortcomings, despite that many Americans have an arrogant narcissistic superiority complex that they display abroad and in the media, we have NEVER sought to target and murder innocent people in an effort to propagate our aims. On this 13th anniversary of one of Americas darkest days, we are faced with a new, perhaps more dangerous enemy than that which attacked us. This enemy is unforgiving of our shortcomings, uncaring of our compassion, and unwilling to accept anything but their narrow view of the world. Further, they are hellbent on imposing their will one everyone they can, by whatever horrific means possible. As Golda Meir said: If they dont want to share this world we us, we dont have to share this world with them. Its been thirteen years of war and conflict, and America is tired of war. Im with you. Im tired of it too. Ive been fighting in it for twelve of those thirteen years. But we cannot tread lightly with this enemy. We have to bring the fight to them. We have to kill them before they kill us. We cant bring them to trial. We cant try to win their hearts and minds. We can only win by eradicating them from the earth. We can only ensure our safety by arranging for them to meet their God. So as the situation escalates, which I am sure it will, remember today. Remember what they took from you, from us. Remember how you felt today, thirteen years ago. Remember it so that we can, as a nation, ensure that it never happens again.
