Remembered a bit of info Id learned on a Flying Santa cruise and visited the final resting place of the only lightkeeper interred at Arlington National Cemetery. Arthur Small was keeper at Palmers Island in New Bedford during the hurricane of 38. I was surprised to learn that his wife Mabel (who drowned in the hurricane) is not buried with him. Researching this other Mrs. Small whose name appears on the reverse of Mr. Smalls grave marker:
