Remembrance Sunday Poppies & Poems: I was very lucky to visit the Tower Of London last week to see the Poppies. Every Poppy you see represents a someone that died in wars around the world. The 880,000 ceramic poppies are hand-made. #LestWeForget #RemembranceSunday x I also wrote this poem called Oh Poppy: Oh poppy, oh poppy, swaying in the wind, Oh poppy, oh poppy, sitting on a pin, Oh poppy, oh poppy, from a field not far away, Oh poppy, oh poppy, being made today. A poem by Colonel John McCrae, Was written in the sunny month of May, When a friend fell down to an awful blow, John wrote In Flanders Fields. The poppies grew over the graves of soldiers, Whilst the months kept getting colder, In December the poem was released to the world, We read In Flanders Fields. Oh poppy, oh poppy, swaying in the wind, Oh poppy, oh poppy, sitting on a pin, Oh poppy, oh poppy, from a field not far away, Oh poppy, oh poppy, being made today. Thanks to McCrae we wear our poppies, We wear them with pride out lovely poppies, For we only wear them once a year, On the eleventh of November. Oh poppy, oh poppy, swaying in the wind, Oh poppy, oh poppy, sitting on a pin, Oh poppy, oh poppy, from a field not far away, John wrote In Flanders Fields. - by Sapphire
