Repair day for the Taylor. Ive been putting it off for a little more than 5 years now, but a recent water leak caused some fretboard damage that forced my hand. I bought it as a great deal, cuz someone previous had skipped all the adjustment/shim managment approach that is the Taylor trademark, and superglued the neck to the body. As it had already been done, I followed suite the few times the neck came loose before....well no more! Getting the neck loose of the glue without damaging any pieces took over 2 hours, even with the water-damage help..another couple to make appropriate parts and perform laborous adjustment. Happy to say that the guitar is now returned to its former resonant glory, and is back to being adjustable, as it should be. Falling in love with the sound all over again.. :)
