Repost from "Prince Prints"... well here we r 16 months down the track from woolworths first attempt to evict everybody.unfortunately we have aprox 30 less stallholders than last time as many left, as they said "we cant possibly beat the west torrens city council and woolworths".since market investments took over we have gone from 110 stallholders down to 35.now woolworths have told us to get out again.please folks get on to woolworths and xpress your disgust at their tactics of forcing small family businesses closures while they build next door.even better tell them u will no longer shop at woolworths and go and support your local grocers and supermarkets.do u want the duopoly of coles and woolworths destroying local businesses?causing forced unemployment, forcing aged stallholders into early retirement, restricting your available choices to shop.?vote with your feet and your dollars.i stopped shopping at woolworths last february and also stopped using woolworts caltex petrol stations.on average i would spend $100 a week on food and $100 on petrol.thats $6,400 on food and $6,400 on petrol they have lost from me alone.all the stallholders r doing the same as me.please join us in our fight and show woolworths that they cant do whatever they want whenever they want.in the words of john lennon "power to the people.right on".
