Repost from Team Power Monkey Athlete @sadieann : One of the biggest limiting factors in my handstand training is the ability to feel strong and comfortable with an open shoulder angle. Here @davedurante is showing a drill that helps to exaggerate the opening of the shoulders. The person doing the exercise starts inverted in a handstand with feet on a box, stacking the hips directly above wrists, and ducking their chin into their chest. Partner applies pressure to the backs of their scapula, opening up the shoulder angle. Start with light pressure and communicate with your partner about how much pressure should be applied. Try 3 rounds of 10 seconds of partner pushes, it can be scaled with knees bent if hamstring flexibility is a limitation. @cfgymnastics @powermonkeyfitness #shoulderstretch#crossfit #gymnastics #teampowermonkey #fitness
