Req ID 63484BR Business Title Medical Scientific Liaison, Access Business Intl - CoE Country Canada State/Province Ontario Location of Position Mississauga, Ontario, CAN Shift_ 1st Job Description As the primary field-based scientific experts, the Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) within Baxter establish and maintain clinical/scientific relationships with medical professionals, researchers, coordinators, payer groups, and other members of the scientific community. In addition, MSLs identify and communicate information on key areas of research and scientific intelligence to internal stakeholders. •Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Vascular Access by presenting scientific data, designing educational forums and providing scientific support in the development of clinical publications in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards. Establish self as credible and reliable scientific resource for health care professionals and create dependency on the role. •Attend and provide scientific support at R&D exhibits and scientific sessions at regional, national, and international Vascular Access conferences. Identify and communicate new scientific findings and opportunities or threats that could impact the product portfolio. •Act as a training resource for the commercial (sales and marketing) partners. •Act as a key Stakeholder in providing medical input into the marketing strategy for the portfolio. •Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) proposals and support the clinical operations organization with Baxter sponsored clinical trials by identifying and liaisoning with potential sites. Job Requirements Education Level Required: • An advanced degree (e.g. M.D, Pharm.D. or Ph.D.) in a relevant science area is required Type of Experience Required: • Possess some understanding of investigator-initiated trial processes • Possess a reasonable understanding of the drug development and approval process including clinical trials. Years of Experience Required: • 4+ years in a clinical/pharmaceutical setting • 1+ years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience Additional Skills / Special Training / Technical Skills Required Required: • Advanced presentation skills as well as oral and written communication • Advanced interpersonal relationships skills Preferred: Above average computer skills for presentations and word-processing related activities (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) https://sjobs.brassring/TGWEbHost/jobdetails.aspx?partnerid=2104&siteid=50&jobId=1597722
