UC Berkeley (getting super-ambitious maybe) 8. CMU (again super-ambitious) 9. University of Maryland, College Park 10. Cornell ( ambitious most likely) I realize that since I do not have any publications, my chances of getting into a good university for MS+PhD might be scant...That is the reason why I would opt to do an MS at one of the top 30 universities even if there are high chances that I would pursue a PhD afterwards... Moreover, I wish to do my MS mainly on Theoritical ML instead of getting concentrated on one particular application of ML such as in NLP or Vision...I have my interests in all these applications which is why I would like to approach my ML education from a theoritical angle right now so that I might be able to get a chance to have an eclectic mix of applications in different fields. I would really appreciate your guidance in my MS Applications so that I might be able to get into a university where I would be able to gain as much exposure and knowledge in ML...that would be my first priority... I realize that I do not have exceedingly high grades, nor do I have a lot of projects to show...honestly the only things Im guessing that might stand out are my GRE scores and the quality of my projects...Also hoping recommendations will be good... I really need some guidance on how to approach the entire process of applying for an MS at a top university so that I might be able to get the exposure and guidance Id need... Also I wanted to ask that if I get an admission for MS, what are the chances that I might get any funding in the first year, and if not in the second year... Thanking you in anticipation :)
