Respect.... and Honor Respect for the employees of Warm Springs Fire Management.... those crazy brave souls whom gave it their all this summer, endured a historic year of fire, an accident which nearly cost us an ultimate price, and the testing of the very heart and soul of the fire organization..... and these souls exhibited Honor in overcoming those challenges and prevailed against fire..... We have suffered damages however.... as do all in a post traumatic incident... a divide that will be assessed and options decided upon by the Fire Managements Managers to overcome that challenge in our quest to become once more a unified organization seeking excellence.... I for one am grateful to have the opportunity to work with such energetic, humorous and professional people, mostly Tribal Members in fire here at Fire Management... take your winter rest and be ready for 2015 which at this point has not had any outlooks provided.... Thanks to all who provided support and assistance this year to fire management.... Fire & Safety, WSPD, CTWS DNR, BIA, Forestry, Gorkey Mitchell, Yvette Leecy, Panda Towa, Jason N Denys Schjoll, Tobi Smith-Morales, COIDC, NWCC, Oregon 2 Type 1 Team, Oregon 1 Type 2 Team, The many vendors, contractors and visiting Federal firefighters, The Prvention folks notably Wilfred Steele Pie. Task forces of Southwest FF and Engine crews, The National BIA Helicopter Modules..... And the community of Warm Springs for support for our firefighters, the ones in your families whom were gone yet here all summer...... the season ended last Friday... A historic year for us with the future looking like it will not get any easier.... yet I am optimistic in that we have handed over to the Tribes a future bright with those taking over, the new generation of courageous, professional and highly trained firefighters that will continue to serve and protect... I am feeling content and filled with pride and honor.... Have a good rest and relaxation Warm Springs Fire Management Staff.. you earned it! have a great day Fam & Frens.... I am honored and fortunate to have all of you also!
