Responsibility to the puppies doesn’t end when they leave for - TopicsExpress

Responsibility to the puppies doesn’t end when they leave for their new homes. Breeders should encourage you to call them with any questions you may have, and should offer help as a resource as the puppy matures and for the lifetime of the dog. More importantly, the breeder should be willing to take responsibility for the dog should circumstances change which may prevent you from keeping the dog. In this case, the breeder should always be willing to take back the dog; in fact, many have verbiage in their puppy contract (the Right of First Refusal) stating that they be the first contacted should conditions arise that would require re-homing.
