The left-hander hit a nine-darter on the way to defeating Robert Thornton on Wednesday evening, and while he didnt record a second perfect game, he had enough to see off the defending champion. The world number seven took the opening two sets on a deciding leg, before Taylor struck back in the third to extend the game.
