Returned yesterday from the International Sage-Grouse Forum in Salt Lake City; a gathering of nearly 400 folks from around the west to exchange ideas and focus continuing efforts to work to keep the sage-grouse from getting listed as Endangered. Very good meeting that was high level with top people from the Fed agencies, scientists, ranchers , enviros and people working in the field especially the group I work with the Sage Grouse Initiative crew of motivated young professionals from across the west. Me and Brad Sauer are the exceptions to young in that group. Montanas Governors Range Committee was there, great to see those folks and we even had Utahs Governor speak. Lee Cornwell gave a great ranchers perspective talk.. Montana was well represented.
