Rev. Haycocks presentation of sacred eastern orthodox Christian icons: During Rev. Haycock ‘Christianity and Christmas’ program, he showed us sacred eastern orthodox icons that tell the story of the nature of God according to Christians, and Christmas as the celebration of God’s ‘enfleshment’ in the person of Jesus. Rev. Haycock referred to these icons or sacred images as writings or visual representations of scripture that were created to inspire, uplift and strengthen the relationship the observer has with God, Self and Others. The beauty and devotion portrayed in the imagery encourage the viewer to open his/her heart to Christ’s love. Rev. Haycock is a living example of his faith and a gift to all who are with him.
