Revelation 1:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. He laid his RIGHT hand upon me and said do not be afraid. Now or ever, he is with us laying his hand on us so we dont need to be afraid. The right hand of God full of His righteousness, full of His reign, full of the power of the resurrection from the dead and His accession into heaven. This same John who leans into Jesus at the last supper now falls as if dead at the sight of Jesus. The tempter, satan, doesnt sway good men by the presence of evil but by an obsession of other thing. Things that take the place in our hearts that Christ wants. We all start out in the power of the risen king but slowly and surely our devotion changed and over time things gained its place in our hearts and pushed Christ aside. The churches John is addressing shows this so well. We forget the glory behind the king of kings, we loose sight and our passion for Christ. When John saw, really saw Jesus he fell on His face and what does Jesus do, reaches down with his right hand and grabs him up and says do not be afraid. Here is a story I just loved, and it really fits. A father was trying to get peace to read his copy of the Daily Telegraph. The problem was, every time he settled down with his cup of tea his little girl kept on asking him questions. So he came up with a bright idea, and off his coffee table he lifted a missionary magazine. He ripped a page of a map of the world out of it, and ripped it into several pieces, and then said: Dear, Ive got something for you to do, its a little puzzle. Heres a map of the world, see if you can put the jigsaw puzzle together, and he sat down again to his Daily Telegraph. In a few minutes she was back - and he couldnt believe it, she had it all done! He asked her: How did you do it so fast?, and like a flash she replied, Well, Dad, it was easy. I found a picture of the Lord Jesus on the other side, and I knew when I had Him in the right place the whole world would be all right. I love that. So today put Jesus in the right place and all will be well With you and the world. Love you all and be blessed.
