Rich is the funniest person I know - he can make me laugh when I feel like crying. He told his oncologist that the one good thing about Chemo is that when a mosquito bites him it falls dead. These last few days have been good days - quiet wonderful time together with our fur and feathered babies. His counts are up (except for platelets), and if they stay up, he will have his next Chemo a week from today - the last one before he goes back to Vanderbilt. There he will have a re-staging, a PET scan, and surgery on the head of the femur. The nodules in his lungs are GONE, thanks to Gods switchboard being lit up with all of your prayers. We still have a long road to travel, but we are getting there, step by step. I am so humbled by the love shown to us during his illness - we have absolutely amazing friends and family.
