Rick is known by many for many different reasons. I know him to be a hard working, loyal, ethical person who treats others as he would like to be treated. This is ever evident to me when we are approached by those he has arrested or dealt with in the jail and they shake his hand and thank him. Hes a sniper with deadly accuracy and will do all he can to keep his brothers and the community safe. He has a huge heart and loves animals. He ventured onto a frozen pond and carried a struggling deer to safety, later providing her water from his camelback. And then there was the little raccoon in the road who gave him a run for his money (thank goodness for puncture resistant gloves!). One thing that I will always remember and appreciate is his love and care of Daisy when she was gravely ill and I was away. He slept with her on the floor, carried her down the stairs, held her up so she could potty and fed her out is his hand. For all of these reasons, and so many more that I would never have time to list, I love you Rick and wish you the happiest of birthdays! The world is a better place because youre in it and I am a better person because I get to spend my life with you.
