Riding = an athletic endeavor Riders bodies = machines Food and exercise = VITALLY IMPORTANT TO RUNNING THE MACHINE Many riders fail to see the importance of this and thus their riding suffers. Theyre out of balance physically and mentally. They run out of breath after cantering for two minutes. Ill spare you the agonizing details. You get the idea. Granted Ive only done three crossfit classes so far, but I can already feel a difference in my riding. I know I know...Ive been fitness obsessed and an athlete my entire life so I have an already huge awareness of my body in space and how it moves and where it needs to be. But seriously, Im riding better now. I did almost fall over getting out of bed this morning because Im so sore. But I love that feeling! I love having that extra awareness of every muscle; it tells me Im actually doing something and not succumbing to the plague of laziness most Americans are infected with. So, a full day of riding and day four of crossfit.
