Right, Ladies and Gentlemen... I have some news, exciting news! but i must explain something first for everyone who was not at the AGM this may take some explaining and I know some of you are wondering why you probably did not get a text tonight when due to proxy vote. I will explain this to you as much as I can but there is only so much I will say about the matter. It was made very clear to the society about the rules in proxy voting and It came to the committees attention moments before the AGM was to begin that the use of proxy voting was being manipulated and the system was being abused through loops holes which in turn makes the whole voting process unfair, bias and compromised. Due to this matter being so close to the AGM time with no way of rescheduling the AGM for a different date so soon, an emergency committee meeting was held to deal with this matter. The decision that came from this meeting was that it would be put to the society members present at that AGM to vote if proxy voting would be still giving the green light for this night due or would be discounted and subsequently not allowing any proxy votes period, for THIS night only from members who wanted to, and life time members due to what had just happened. The society voted that absolutely no proxy votes would be given in turn of this AGM. However, it was later discussed that proxy voting would be added to the constitution based on the rules previously discussed about proxy voting and who and how ect, with the added addition of a deadline. So members old and young that is why you did not receive your texts tonight, and we sincerely apologize for that however we fet this was the most necessary and fairest way to dispute this situation that happened soon before the AGM commenced and that you understand the reasoning for this. . So.. That is the boring stuff.. I NOW HAVE FUN STUFF TO REPORT :D :D :D We have a new committee as much as it a little weirds me out although pains me to say, us as the 13/14 committee are soon to come to an end and you guys are to be in the hands of these wonderful fellow members: Sooo.. Without further ado ( I just really want to keep you all in suspense) YOUR NEW COMMITTEE ARE AS FOLLOWS!: Chair: Michael Jordan Secretary: Tom Hetherington Treasurer: Muhammad Irfan Perdana Social Secretary: Ishy Abdullah Public Communications Officer: Rob Davis Fundraiser: Christopher Michael Davies Technical Representative: James Hatmandu Stewart It was also voted in that the montage video would be made by mysef and person most likely by Matt Heslop. I can post minutes up on the page of this AGM so people are also able to review the amendments to the constitution that were voted in.
