Right. Rant for today. Women and their bloody mobile phones. Although not exclusively so, my experience tells me that add a mobile phone to a woman and often you have an accident waiting to happen. Once they put their nose in the phone, they become oblivious to everyone and everything around them. As an example, this morning waiting to cross Leith Street ata set of traffic lights, this woman stepped off the pavement nearby, nose firmly stuck in phone, failed to see the van bearing down on her. Her nose briefly lifted out of her phone when presumably she heard the screech of tyres and blast of car horn from driver of said van, Only briefly enough to flap a hand towards the driver before carrying on oblivious to her narrow woman. It did prompt me to shout at her. YOU STUPID BLOODY WOMAN! PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOURE DOING! Which of course brought no reaction as the woman obviously could not bear to tear herself away from that oh so vital facebook status or text message. How completely and utterly stupid can people get.
