Here are the dates for another 7 canvasses throughout Coatbridge and Cryston taking us to the end of August: Sun 27/7 - Chryston 2pm meeting place TBC Wed 6/8 - Townhead 6pm at old Community Centre Radical Independence night Thur 14/8 - Old Monkland 6pm at Old Monkland Community Centre Thur 21/8 - Kirkshaws 6pm meeting place TBC Sun 24/8 - Flats and high rises throughout Coatbridge 2pm meeting place tbc Thur 27/8 - Chryston 6pm meeting place tbc Sunday 31/8 - Kirkwood 2pm at Old Monkland Community Centre You will note that the schedule builds up nicely with a very hectic finish at the end of August. Please try to attend as many as you can. We will put on an event page and reminders for each one. Why is canvassing important? Its nice to get a wee idea of opinion within a certain area but thats only a bonus with canvassing. The main purpose is to identify yes and undecided voters and target accordingly in the last few weeks and on the day itself. It is widely accepted as the most effective campaign tool and will help us to win this! On each occasion we will be armed with canvass materials, literature, yes goodies and voter registration forms. Nearly there people lets keep it going!! F
