Rioters attack three Kashmiris near Muzaffar nagar, U.P. Anantnag, (Kashmir): Three Kashmiri students were targeted by an irate mob in riot-hit Muzaffar nagar area of Uttar Pradesh (India) Sunday night. Three Kashmiri students identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, Rayees Ibrahim Dar and Irshad Ahmad Dar, all residents of village Bandina in Pulwama district, were travelling in ‘Shalimar Express’ last night when an irate mob forced the train to halt about 1 km ahead of the Muzaffar nagar railway station at around 10 PM. "The goons entered into the bogies and after identifying persons from a particular community started beating them with wooden and iron rods,” Manzoor Ahmad Dar, who escaped with a broken leg and is admitted in a hospital told ‘Kashmir Images’ over telephone. "My neighbor Rayees was also identified and than attacked by the mob. But he received minor injuries while our third friend hid himself in the urinal and was not noticed by the goons,” Dar said while narrating the horrible experience in a trembling voice. "They (rioters) had a free hand in beating and trying to kill the people from a particular community for more than 20 minutes. Their barbarism stopped after a police party reached the spot and we were escorted up to Delhi by a police,” said Rayees to Loving Kashmir. The three Kashmir students are studying in a college in Reva in Madhya Pradesh (MP) and were coming to Kashmir for appearing in an interview. It is pertinent to mention that the communal violence in Muzaffar nagar has claimed 42 lives so far and more than 100 have been injured.
