Rip cuzo Wangare. A number of Nakuru County leaders are mourning the death of TNA nominated MCA Damaris Mbuthia. The Nakuru County assembly member passed away on Saturday night at a Nairobi hospital after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua took to social media to mourn the demise of the former Nakuru deputy mayor. “Im very sad to learn of the death of TNA nominated Nakuru MCA Damaris Mbuthia, who passed on at MP Shah Hospital,” the governor wrote on his Facebook page. “To her family, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in our every thoughts and prayers. May her soul rest in eternal peace.” Deputy Governor Joseph Ruttoh said: “We have lost a very resourceful person. Let us pray for the family. Rest in peace Damaris. We shall forever miss you.” Nakuru MCA Emma Mbugua said she lost not only a friend and close ally but also a mentor with strong political and personal convictions. Former Nakuru municipal treasurer John Giturwa, who served when the deceased was deputy mayor said: “RIP. Such a wonderful soul.” Also mourning is the governors deputy political advisor, Ezekiel Kesendany, who consoled the family, friends and relatives of the ex-Nakuru Day and Kenyatta secondary schools English and Literature in English teacher.
