Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly has endorsed the request by the State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi to borrow the sum of N100 billion loan to consolidate the ongoing projects in the State. The lawmakers sitting on the floor of the old Banquet Hall of the Government House, took less than an hour deliberation to present and approve the motion.. A delighted Speaker of the house Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree commended the lawmakers for their smooth deliberation and easy passage. The lawmakers later adjourned till further notice. According to Hope For Nigeria, in a related Development, the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi has announced plan to build a world-class golf course in the state capital. The cost of the Gulf course according Amaechi is N12billion. “Golf is an alternative form of relaxation and we are prepared to support the game so that people can relax. We plan to build an 18-hole course at a cost of N12 billion,” Amaechi said.
