Rob Brezsnys been right on the money lately. Usually I like woo for its poetry and ability to generate creative self-reflection, rather than taking it super literally, but this feels pretty direct. Im choosing to believe it. Its an especially strong coincidence given that a couple of weeks ago someone who harmed me in a deep deep way tried to contact me through my housemate and then at work. My PTSD symptoms flared up after that (mostly around nightmares and anxiety) for the last few weeks. Its mostly calmed down but its still way more up for me than its been in years, and Ive been grappling with how I can deal with what happened effectively and for good. Heres what Brezsny wrote: Years ago, you experienced an event that was so overwhelming you could not fully deal with it, let alone understand it. All this time it has been simmering and smoldering in the depths of your unconscious mind, emitting ghostly steam and smoke even as it has remained difficult for you to integrate. But I predict that will change in the coming months. You will finally find a way to bring it into your conscious awareness and explore it with courage and grace. Of course it will be scary for you to do so. But I assure you that the fear is a residue from your old confusion, not a sign of real danger. To achieve maximum liberation, begin your quest soon.
