Roben Meyers 11/24/14 A leaf falls gently in a silent forest dancing to a rhythmic song that no one can hear A sorrowful breeze winds beneath swaying branch’s Alone in time a loving soul fights against the fettered chains that bind it Anguished often by the multi faceted always changing face of love It heaves a sigh of yearning for all that is sweet and beautiful, yet painfully allusive and so tantalizingly near Within the narrow confines of its earthly hold The soul cries out to soar the firmaments and let loose an array of unshackled joy Through the deepest of desire it leaves behind the shell that house’s it And though still bound to earth, it takes wing Free at last it heads straight into the face of love Brushing her sweet cheek with it’s gentle caress Gazing ever so deeply into the sweetness of longing desire It coax’s her soothingly to come along And as they mingle side by side they form a comet’s tail Capturing in their wake the particles of tenderness and affection that form a hearts core In this unfettered state of bliss the touch is deep The soul is shaken to it’s essence and finds itself bound again in a world of grist and boundary But this is another world and another time There is conviction though deep within it That whatever world or whatever time It will forevermore search, through time and space, to recapture that which once was
