Robert McCulloch, And His Checkered Past!!! Why wasnt Robert McCulloch, of the St. Louis County Prosecutors Office, removed from the Michael Brown case by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, based on his past corruption dealing with defendants, and other reasons listed below?? The investigation of the grand jury in the death of Michael Brown, ha issued a NO TRUE BILL. There will be no indictment, and no justice for Michael Brown pr his family. Ive done some investigating of my own, which the Missouri Governors office could have utilized to remove McCulloch from the case and appoint a special prosecutor. What I have found out is that Robert McCulloch is not a good steward of the law, and should be removed not only as the prosecutor of the Brown case, but from office period, due to his past malfeasance in several cases and egregious transgressions against defendants, in which he certainly protected police officers. 1. In 2001, in the so-called Jack in the box case, two undercover drug officers shot and killed two unarmed black men, Earl Murray of Kinloch, and Ronald Beasley of St. Louis, in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box. The probe, however, also concluded that because the officers feared for their safety, the shootings were justified. In 2001, they told a grand jury that the suspects tried to escape arrest and then drove toward them; the jury declined to indict. stltoday/…/article_cdd4c104-6086-506e-9ee8-a… McCulloch told the public that every witness had testified to confirm this version, but journalists reviewed the previously secret grand jury tapes and found that McCulloch lied: only three of 13 officers testified that the car was moving forward. stltoday/…/article_d0cc6e7f-8b32-5153-8ab4-8… A subsequent federal investigation was launched, requested by local Urban League president Jim Buford, and U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, who asked the FBI to investigate the shootings. The Berkeley City Council voted unanimously to endorse the FBIs participation. The FBI investigation found that the men were unarmed and that their car had not moved forward when the officers fired 21 shots; nevertheless, as previously mentioned, Federal investigators decided that the shooting was justified. nytimes/…/st-louis-county-prosecutor-defends… McCulloch also drew controversy when he said of the victims: These guys were bums. McCulloch went on to say about the two dead men: “The print media and self-anointed activists have been portraying the two gentlemen as folk heroes and have been vilifying the police. I think it is important for the public to know that these two and others like them for years have spread destruction in the community dealing crack cocaine and heroin.” A civil lawsuit was filed by the families of Murray and Beasley. It was eventually dismissed with prejudice by presiding Judge E. Richard Webber on June 21, 2005. 02-823 - BEASLEY, ET AL V. PIEKUTOWSKI, ET AL gpo.gov/…/USCOURTS…/USCOURTS-moed-4_02-cv-00823-0 Motion in Limine gpo.gov/…/…/pdf/USCOURTS-moed-4_02-cv-00823-0.pdf YOLANDA BEASLEY, et al., )) Plaintiffs, )) vs. ) Case No. 4:02CV00823 ERW ROBERT PIEKUTOWSKI, et al., )) ) herein, Defendants. ) ORDER OF DISMISSAL gpo.gov/…/…/pdf/USCOURTS-moed-4_02-cv-00823-2.pdf So does McCulloch think Michael Brown is a bum? Was Brown a bum too when he simultaneously released the still alleged robbery video, and the name of officer Darren Wilson, in a prosecutorial stunt for the grand jury? He should recuse himself from the Brown case just because of the above case, where he lied to protect officers. 2. In 1997, in the so-called Kinkogate case, McCulloch gave, (using the power of the grand jury, but without informing it), a subpoena to the police in order to identify a whistleblower who was acting lawfully. He pretendend his fax contained a threat. McCulloch later admitted that there was no threat and no crime, but denied any wrongdoing. The whistleblower had to quit his job. stltoday/…/article_d0cc6e7f-8b32-5153-8ab4-8… This was yet another prosecutorial stunt by McCulloch. So these are the type of officials you put your trust in Douglas? 3. After the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, McCulloch announced that rather than making a decision about whether to arrest police officer Darren Wilson, he would bring the case before a grand jury, nytimes/…/st-louis-county-prosecutor-defends… leaving to jurors the decision of what charges might be brought, if any. His spokesman acknowledged that it is unusual that the prosecutor is not asking the grand jury to endorse a specific charge. stltoday/…/article_aa4111fc-2952-54c9-8316-7… It is also unusual to present a case to a grand jury before the police investigation is over. washingtonpost/…/1dec6ffe-339b-11e4-8f02-03c… So the grand jury could possibly render a no true bill without having all of the evidence from the St . Louis County Police Department investigation? No indictment has come from the St. Louis County Prosecutors office, and you want us to trust police officials in that county? 4. McCulloch is the son of a St. Louis police officer who was killed in the line of duty when McCulloch was just twelve years old. He should recuse himself from any case involving police on that alone. It certainly displays that there could be bias on his behalf. If I was Benjamin Crump, I would petition the governors office to have him removed, and have an outside special prosecutor appointed. laduenews/…/article_eee9cc68-8a2a-11e1-9517-… St. Louis prosecutor has faced controversy for decades : News From Guns N Roses to racial strife, McCulloch has remained popular with county voters. stltoday|By Lee Enterprises
